For over 70 years, Bolon has taken a proactive approach to sustainability. From combining development and manufacturing in Ulricehamn, which gives control and the opportunity to optimise resources to benefit the environment, to focusing on sustainability throughout the chain; including sourcing raw materials, installation and the transition of our products after-use to a circular economy.
It’s a journey of innovation that starts long before flooring is produced and long after it has fulfilled its intended purpose.
Bolon floor is always completely free of phthalates and heavy metals. Bolon floors produce low emissions – they’re even approved for use in hospital environments
To support our commitment to recycling, we have invested in a state-of-the-art integrated recycling facility which was completed in 2014.
Bolon sources the majority of raw materials locally and reduces the transportation distance between our manufacturing facility and suppliers. We source 77% of our raw materials from Swedish suppliers, 21% from the EU suppliers and only 2% from suppliers outside the EU.
The composition of Bolon makes it easy to clean and maintain. The flooring is impervious and solid, making it equipped for wet cleaning and cleaning machines. Stains are easily removed using hot water. Chemicals are not required.
Our floors are hard-wearing with a long life, which is why we offer a 10–15-year warranty.
