AAK

AAK is a Swedish-Danish company and producer of high-value added vegetable oils and fats used in a wide variety of applications in the food, confectionery, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical and animal feed industries.  With more than 140 years of experience, AAK now has sales offices in more than 25 countries.

D’Apres Nous D&B (DNDB) was appointed to design the new AAK office in Singapore using an open concept for better internal collaboration. With a semi ½ ground location, the designers were challenged with minimal natural light and poor acoustic properties in the space. Bolon’s BKB Sisal Plain Steel was selected for its subtle reflection and the singular flooring colour unified the flexible space, giving it a comfortable, luxurious feel. Bolon also delivered superior acoustic and practical benefits, including durability and cleanability, necessary for the waiting area, pantry and culinary room.
